In a reshuffle within Assam Police, the government of Assam has transferred IPS officer S N Singh as the Commandant General of Home Guards. He was earlier serving as Director of Fire and Emergency Services.

Whereas, IPS officer Harmeet Singh was given the command of the Fire and Emergency Services.
