1989 batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre, Mr. Vivek Srivastava, will be the new DG, Fire Service, Civil Defense & Home Guards. He is currently posted as Special Director Intelligence Bureau (IB).
The decision was taken by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet.
He has been appointed to the post till June 30, 2025, i.e. the date of his superannuation, the order said.
