Meet IPS Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, The New DG Of Central Industrial Security Force

The Union Government has recently appointed a senior IPS officer, Mr. Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, as the new Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Mr. Bhatti, a 1990-batch IPS officer, had earlier served as the Director General of Bihar Military Police in Patna.

Presently, Officer Bhatti is on central deputation and holding the post of ADG of Eastern Command in the Border Security Force (BSF). During his three-decade-long service, IPS Bhatti worked in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as the Joint Director of the Multi-Disciplinary Monitoring Agency (MDMA), which was conducting an investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He also served as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) in the Air Authority of India (AAI).

During his tenure in the Bihar Police, Officer Bhatti did not refrain from taking action against many influential political leaders and high-profile criminals of Bihar including MP Shahabuddin, Prabhunath Singh and Dilip Kumar Singh.
