Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has once again initiated a significant reshuffle of police officers, transferring five IPS officers on Tuesday following the Chief Minister’s directives.
The transfers involve senior officers across key departments in the state police and related wings-
MK Bashal (1990 batch IPS) has been moved from the position of Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh Corporation, to the post of Director General of Police, Mahasamadeshta.
Jai Narayan Singh (1994 batch IPS), previously Additional Director General of Police (ADG) in the Police Training College (PTC), has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation.
Upendra Kumar Agarwal has been appointed Inspector General (IG) of Intelligence.
Prashant Kumar II takes over as Additional Director General (ADG) of Administration at Police Headquarters (PHQ).
Satendra Kumar has been posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), Agra.

These transfers reflect the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen law enforcement and administrative efficiency in key security and operational units.
