IPS officer Sachin Gupta has been appointed as SP in the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D). He is an IPS officer of 2014 batch and Punjab cadre. According to the competent authority, his tenure will be for five years from the date of taking charge.
Earlier, he was posted as AIG, Intelligence and AIG, Special Branch – II (Punjab). He has also served as SSP, Sri Muktsar Sahib, SP – Special Protection Unit (Punjab), and Joint CP, Security & Operations, Amritsar.
