Two senior IAS officers Divya Prabhu and Shikha C of Karnataka cadre has won ‘Best Electoral Practice Awards for 2023, instituted by the Election Commission of India. The awards will be presented to them on January 25 in Delhi as part of National Voters’ Day.
IAS Divya Prabhu, currently Deputy Commissioner of Chitradurga, has been chosen under the general award category for adopting best practices in electoral role management, including addition of young voters and specially-abled ones across the district.
IAS Shikha C, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, bagged the award under ‘best performing state’ category. She has been hailed for creating awareness about freebies among voters and effective implementation of model code of conduct in monitoring election expenditure by candidates.
