The Union Public Service Commission has started its UPSC CSE mains examination from 7th October, 2022. The CSE examination is conducted in a pen and paper mode on January 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16. As per the released UPSC IAS exam schedule 2021, the examination will be conducted in two sessions every day except day 1 (January 7, 2022). The first session will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
There is a total of nine papers in the examination. Candidates should obtain a minimum of 25% in their optional subject along with the other subjects. All languages covered in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution will be taken into account for the language paper.
