New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed Mrs. Usha Rangnani, a 2011-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, as Deputy Director General (DIG) in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). The appointment is on a deputation basis, in line with central government norms.
Mrs. Rangnani is known for her sharp administrative skills and operational experience across key postings in the AGMUT cadre. Her role at BPR&D will involve contributing to national-level policy planning, research initiatives, and modernisation efforts in Indian policing systems.

IPS Vijay Yogi Takes Over as Joint Commissioner, Eastern Range, Delhi Police
In a reshuffle within the Delhi Police, IPS Vijay Yogi, a 2007-batch officer, has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner of the Eastern Range. He previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West and South Delhi, where he led major crime control and law enforcement operations. Mr Yogi hails from Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan.
Vijay Yogi hails from Loyal, Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) and has earned a reputation for decisive leadership and strong public engagement. On the occasion of his new appointment, members of the Rajasthan Olympic Association, including Subhash Yogi, honored him for his continued service to the nation.
His new role as Joint Commissioner of the Eastern Range, a vital policing zone in the capital, places him in charge of some of Delhi’s most densely populated and dynamic districts, with a key focus on maintaining law and order, crime control, and community outreach.
