New Delhi: The Government of India has approved the appointment of Mr. Rajneesh Narain as the new Director (Finance) of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). He will serve in the role on an immediate absorption basis until his superannuation on June 30, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The appointment has been cleared by the Competent Authority under the Ministry of Railways and comes into effect from the date he assumes charge.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Rajneesh Narain was serving as Director (Finance) at Northern Coalfields Limited, a key subsidiary of Coal India Limited.
With extensive experience in financial management and public sector enterprise operations, his transition to IRCTC is expected to strengthen the company’s financial governance and strategic planning functions.
Pay Scale and Tenure Details
According to official communication issued on June 11, 2026, the appointment has been made in the IDA pay scale of ₹1,80,000–₹3,40,000.
