IREDA Strengthens Financial Management and Corporate Governance with Senior-Level Finance Appointments

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has announced key senior-level appointments aimed at strengthening its financial management, internal controls and corporate governance framework. The appointments were approved by the IREDA Board at its meeting held on Tuesday, reflecting the organisation’s focus on robust financial oversight as it scales up operations in support of India’s renewable energy goals.

Tusarkant Parida Appointed Executive Director (Finance & Accounts)

Tusarkant Parida has joined IREDA as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts). A chartered accountant and commerce graduate from Utkal University, Parida brings over 24 years of experience across financial institutions and corporate organisations. His professional background includes extensive exposure to financial planning, accounting, regulatory compliance and strategic financial management. In his new role, Parida will play a key part in steering IREDA’s finance and accounts functions at a time of rapid growth in renewable energy financing.

Jagdeep Singh Takes Charge as General Manager (Finance & Accounts)

Jagdeep Singh has assumed charge as General Manager (Finance & Accounts) at IREDA. He is a commerce graduate from Delhi University and a member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India (ICMAI). With more than 27 years of experience across public and private sector organisations, Singh brings deep expertise in finance, audit and governance systems.

Board Appoints Jagdeep Singh as Head of Internal Audit

In addition to his executive role, the IREDA Board has appointed Jagdeep Singh as Head of Internal Audit and Internal Auditor of the company for a tenure from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028, or until further orders. He succeeds A. Chandrashekar, who superannuated after leading the Internal Audit function. The Board’s decision underscores the importance placed on strong internal audit mechanisms to support transparency, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Focus on Governance and Risk Management

Commenting on the appointments, IREDA Chairman and Managing Director Pradip Kumar Das said that the induction of experienced finance professionals highlights the organisation’s commitment to financial discipline, sound corporate governance and effective risk management. He noted that these measures are critical as IREDA continues to expand its financing activities to meet the growing needs of India’s renewable energy sector.
