Guwahati: The deputation tenure of Arunita Phukan Yadav (IRS-C&IT: 2011) as Executive Director of the Tea Board in Guwahati has been extended for another year. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal from the Department of Commerce to extend Ms. Yadav’s deputation until May 31, 2026.
This extension will take her total deputation tenure outside the cadre to five years, ending either on May 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever comes first. Arunita Phukan Yadav has been serving in the Tea Board for a significant period, contributing to the organization’s operations, and this extended tenure highlights the confidence placed in her leadership and expertise.
