A 2009 batch IRS-C&CE officer, Shankhesh Mehta, has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Civil Aviation for a period of five years. Mr. Mehta was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the central government appointed Mr. Mehta to the post under the central staffing scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
