Ms. Vanita Rattan Sharma, an IRS (Income Tax) officer of the 1994 batch, currently serving as Executive Director (Finance) at the Food Corporation of India (FCI), has been granted an extension in her additional charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of FCI.
The extension is for a period of three months starting from November 28, 2024, or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier. The Food Corporation of India (FCI) is a government organization responsible for ensuring the nation’s food security by managing procurement, storage, and distribution of food grains. Established in 1965, FCI operates under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution.
