New Delhi: Anuj Kumar Singh, an Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) officer from the 2009 batch, has been selected for a central deputation and appointed as the Joint Secretary (Director level) in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Delhi. The appointment, recommended by the Ministry of Railways, is for a term of five years.
An official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, confirmed Singh’s new role. According to the order, Singh will assume his duties under the central staffing scheme for a period of five years, starting from the date he takes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Singh, a seasoned officer with extensive experience in the Indian Railways, will bring his expertise to the UPSC, which plays a critical role in recruiting candidates for various civil services positions across the country.
