In a significant move, Abhay Sharma (IRTS:2012) has been transferred and appointed as Director in the Passenger Marketing (Co-ordination) division of the Railway Board, effective Tuesday.
Prior to this new posting, Sharma was serving as the Director (Fertilizer Movement) in the Department of Fertilizers under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
Sharma’s transfer to the Railway Board comes as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance coordination and management in the passenger services sector. With his experience in logistics and movement coordination, his new role is expected to bring fresh insights into the passenger marketing strategies of Indian Railways.
