Breaking glass ceiling and creating history, Jaya Verma Sinha becomes CEO & Chairman of Railway Board. An Indian Railway Management Services officer, Ms. Sinha will be the first lady officer to head the Railway Board. She spearheaded the war room during rescue operations for the Odisha train accident.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved her appointment to the post till her retirement and her re-employment on the post from 1st October 2023.
