Jayant N. Khobragade, a senior diplomat from the 1995 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), has been named the next Ambassador of India to Poland. He is currently serving as India’s Ambassador to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and will assume his new role soon.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced his appointment, stating, “Shri Jayant N. Khobragade (IFS: 1995), presently Ambassador of India to ASEAN, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Poland.” It further noted that he is expected to take charge of his new responsibilities in the near future.
