Jharkhand: Govt Transfers 1 IPS Officer, Posts Six Others; Kumar Shivashish Appointed New SP of Jamshedpur

As per the official notification, Hazaribagh’s Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kumar Shivashish, has been appointed as the City Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jamshedpur.

The Jharkhand government has announced the transfer of one IPS officer and the posting of six others in various capacities across the state. The Home, Prison, and Disaster Management Department issued a notification detailing the changes.

As per the official notification, Hazaribagh’s Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kumar Shivashish, an IPS officer of 2020 batch, has been appointed as the City Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jamshedpur.

Additionally, the following postings have been made:

  • Paras Rana, 2021 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) (Operations) in Chaibasa.
  • Rakesh Singh, also 2021 batch IPS officer, will take on the role of ASP (Operations) in Palamu.
  • Ritwik Srivastva, 2021 batch IPS officer, has been designated as ASP (Operations) in Chatra.
  • SM Taquib will serve as SDPO in Hussainabad.
  • Lalit Meena has been appointed as SDPO in Chainpur.
  • Amit Anand will take over as SDPO in Hazaribag.

These transfers and postings aim to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement across the state.
