Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has issued transfer and posting orders affecting 11 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and one Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer. These changes are aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency across key departments including Public Works, Housing, Youth Empowerment, and Transport.
Principal Secretaries and Key Department Heads Transferred
1997 batch IAS Officer Amlan Aditya Biswas, previously Special Officer and Competent Authority at IMA Bengaluru, has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department.
1998 batch IAS Officer Naveen Raj Singh, currently Principal Secretary of the Housing Department, has been transferred as Principal Secretary of Youth Empowerment & Sports Department.
2004 batch IAS officer V Anbukkumar, Managing Director of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), will now serve as Secretary of the Housing Department.
Other Significant Postings
2006 batch IAS officer Sameer Shukla has been posted to the Commerce & Industries Department overseeing MSME and Mines.
Randeep D (IAS:2006), Secretary of Youth Empowerment & Sports, will take charge as Secretary of the Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department.
2008 batch IAS officer Ramandeep Chowdhary, formerly Secretary of the Karnataka Public Service Commission, has been shifted to the Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics Department.
Concurrent Charges and Additional Responsibilities
Pommala Sunil Kumar (IAS:2011:KN), Commissioner of Revenue, will also hold the concurrent charge of Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, Bengaluru.
Ramachandran R (IAS:2012:KN), Managing Director of Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation, will additionally oversee the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
Dayananda KA (IAS:2012:KN), Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, is now posted as Commissioner of Karnataka Housing Board.
Ibrahim Maigur (IAS:2017:KN), Secretary of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), has been transferred as Director (IT) of KSRTC.
Manoj Kumar (IFS:1997:KN), Managing Director of Mysore Sales International Limited, is assigned the concurrent role of Secretary of RERA.
