Tiranga With a Swadeshi Touch: Khadi Flags From ₹900 Now Available in Patna

Patna: Ahead of Independence Day, certified Khadi Tricolours in different sizes are now available at Khadi Mall near East Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The Bihar State Khadi and Village Industries Board has made the flags available for citizens, educational institutions, government offices, private establishments and other organisations.

The initiative aims to promote the use of certified Khadi national flags while encouraging the spirit of patriotism and supporting local weavers and spinners.

Khadi Tricolours Available From ₹900

The flags are available in different sizes to meet the requirements of individuals and institutions.

  • 2 × 3 feet: ₹900
  • 3 × 4.5 feet: ₹1,700
  • 6 × 4 feet: ₹2,400
  • 9 × 6 feet: ₹6,000
  • Table and car flags: ₹310 each

The availability of multiple sizes allows buyers to choose flags according to their requirements for Independence Day celebrations and other national occasions.

Khadi Flag Linked to Swadeshi

Dr Vidyanand Singh, Chief Executive Officer of the Bihar State Khadi and Village Industries Board and Director of Handloom and Silk, said the Khadi national flag represents the country’s pride as well as the spirit of Swadeshi and self-reliance.

He appealed to citizens and institutions to use certified Khadi Tricolours during Independence Day and other national celebrations.

According to the Board, purchasing Khadi flags can also contribute to strengthening the livelihoods of Bihar’s weavers and spinners.

Flags Available at Patna Khadi Mall

Interested citizens, schools, government offices, private establishments and other organisations can purchase the flags from Khadi Mall, East Gandhi Maidan, Patna.

The Tricolours, table flags and car flags are available during office hours.

Supporting Local Livelihoods

The initiative connects Independence Day celebrations with the promotion of local Khadi production. By encouraging the use of certified Khadi Tricolours, the Bihar State Khadi and Village Industries Board aims to support local artisans while promoting the message of Vocal for Local and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

With Independence Day approaching, the availability of Khadi Tricolours in Patna gives residents an opportunity to celebrate the national occasion while also supporting the traditional Khadi sector.
