Koraput district in Odisha has been selected for the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration, 2024 under the category ‘Holistic Development of Districts’. This national recognition highlights the district’s remarkable strides in integrated development and effective governance.

The award will be presented by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India during the Civil Services Day celebration to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 21st April, 2025. The event is being organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
Mr. V Keerthi Vasan, the District Magistrate of Koraput and a 2018-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer, will receive the award on behalf of the district.
The Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration is one of the highest recognitions for civil services in India, aimed at promoting good governance, innovation, and efficient service delivery at the grassroots level. Koraput’s selection for this honour reflects its impactful initiatives across various sectors contributing to holistic development.
