Key features include:

The Punjab government has already allocated ₹9,300 crore in the 2026–27 budget for the implementation of this scheme. Officials stated that this reflects the government’s commitment to expanding social security and empowering women across the state.

Village Profile and Political Significance

Udeshian village in Adampur has notable demographic features:

  • Around 65% Scheduled Caste population
  • 90% literacy rate
  • Sex ratio of 984 females per 1000 males, higher than Punjab’s average
