Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to empowering youth through employment-oriented initiatives, stating that fulfilling the dreams of young people is key to India’s progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that meaningful employment enables youth to transform their lives while contributing to nation-building.

The Chief Minister was virtually addressing the Yuva Sangam Rozgar Mela–2026, organized at Sarangpur in Rajgarh district, from Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal. The event was attended by Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Chaitanya Kashyap, along with Members of Parliament, MLAs, and other public representatives present at the Sarangpur venue.

Regional Job Fairs to Provide Local Employment Opportunities

Dr. Yadav said the state government is organizing employment fairs across different regions to ensure that youth get job opportunities closer to their homes, including with national and international companies. He noted that youth from Shajapur, Sehore, Agar-Malwa, Dewas, Bhopal and Guna districts participated in the Sarangpur job fair, making it a milestone initiative in providing large-scale employment to the region’s youth.

He added that the government is supporting young people through startup policies and various skill development schemes to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial capabilities.

Wide Participation from Leading Companies

More than 150 companies participated in the Yuva Sangam Rozgar Mela, offering employment opportunities across sectors such as finance, sales, marketing, healthcare, manufacturing, IT, software, digital marketing and quality management. The Chief Minister highlighted that workshops were conducted in colleges, ITIs and polytechnic institutions to align students’ skills with industry requirements, thereby increasing their chances of selection.

Companies expressed consent to recruit youth for over 16,000 positions, including more than 3,000 roles reserved for women candidates. Eight participating companies also offered employment opportunities to persons with disabilities. Several firms extended job offers for positions both in India and abroad.

Employment a Pathway to Dignity and New Beginnings

Dr. Yadav emphasized that providing employment to persons with disabilities is a noble service, akin to serving society at large. He said employment is not merely a source of income but a pathway to self-respect, dignity and the fulfillment of family aspirations. He reiterated that youth welfare remains a top priority of the state government and described the job fair as a meaningful tribute to Swami Vivekananda on National Youth Day.

Historic Achievement in Employment Generation

Skill Development and Employment Minister Gautam Tetwal termed the Sarangpur job fair a historic achievement in the state’s employment initiatives. He informed that during the current financial year, Madhya Pradesh organized 626 job fairs, connecting approximately 1.02 lakh youths with employment opportunities.

At the Sarangpur event alone, out of nearly 35,000 registered candidates, more than 10,112 youths secured employment in a single day—setting a new state record for the highest number of job placements achieved in one day through a job fair.

Top National and Global Companies Participate

Minister Tetwal further noted that renowned national and international companies such as Tata, Mahindra, Kirloskar, Tesla, Eicher, Paytm, Pratibha Syntex and Motherson participated in the fair. Their active involvement not only created diverse employment opportunities but also strengthened industrial confidence and boosted the morale of local youth.

The Sarangpur Yuva Sangam Rozgar Mela has emerged as a landmark initiative, reinforcing Madhya Pradesh’s focus on inclusive growth, skill development and youth-centric governance.
