Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav officially launched the Madhya Pradesh Spacetech Policy-2026 during the Madhya Pradesh Regional AI Impact Conference–2026 held in Bhopal. The policy aims to accelerate technological development, innovation, and the use of artificial intelligence across various sectors in the state.
The launch ceremony also featured the signing of several key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen AI adoption, research, and digital infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh. These agreements are expected to provide new momentum for artificial intelligence, innovation, and technical development in the region.
AI Policy and Mission to be Introduced
During his address, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the transformative potential of AI in governance. He stated that AI will be utilized for effective, transparent, and timely implementation of central and state government schemes, thereby enhancing public welfare, good governance, and inclusive development.
The Chief Minister also announced that Madhya Pradesh will soon launch its AI Policy and Mission, which will further institutionalize AI adoption and skill development initiatives across the state. Highlighting the cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh, he remarked that the state’s sacred sites, such as Ujjain, the land of Lord Krishna’s knowledge, and Omkareshwar, the spiritual center of Jagadguru Shankaracharya, provide a unique environment for fostering innovation and learning.
‘Future Skills for AI’ Ratha Flagged Off
As part of the AI Literacy Mission, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and flagged off the ‘Future Skills for AI – Powered Bharat’ skill ratha, which will travel across the state to raise awareness among youth about artificial intelligence and its applications. The initiative aims to equip young people with essential AI skills and encourage digital literacy and innovation at the grassroots level.
Regional AI Impact Summit: Modern Training for Youth
Abhishek Singh, CEO of the India AI Mission, shared that with support from the central government, modern data labs are being established in ITIs and polytechnic colleges across Madhya Pradesh. These labs will train thousands of youth in cutting-edge skills, preparing them for future employment opportunities in AI-driven industries.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s visionary leadership was praised for making the Regional AI Impact Summit a large-scale, impactful initiative in Bhopal, further strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s position as a hub for AI innovation.
Towards an AI-Enabled India
The conference highlighted the broader India AI Mission, a nationwide initiative guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aims to expand AI literacy and skills among youth. The event also featured the screening of a short film titled ‘Youth AI for All’, showcasing the first phase of this national campaign.
These steps reflect Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to building a future-ready workforce, fostering innovation, and integrating AI into governance and industry for sustainable growth.
