In a recent order issued, IRS officer of the 1990 batch, Manoj K Arora has been given the responsibility of handling the post of Editor-In-Chief as well as CEO of Lok Sabha TV.
It is quite clear now that the head of both the editorial and the administrative wing in Lok Sabha TV will be handled by the same person. An interesting aspect of the order is that this duty will be counted as an additional responsibility because he is already posted as Officer on Special Duty in Lok Sabha Secretariat. Mr. Manoj will be reporting directly to the Secretary.
For the past few months, there is an ongoing hot discussion that’s taking place according to which, Rajya Sabha TV and Lok Sabha TV will be shut down as two separate channels and instead a new channel will be launched which can be called Sansad TV.
