New Delhi: Manoj Kumar Sharma has been selected for appointment as Director (Catering Services) at Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC). The selection was made during a meeting of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) held on June 19, 2025.
Currently serving as Group General Manager, IRCTC (North Zone) under the Ministry of Railways, Sharma was chosen from a panel of highly experienced candidates from various sectors of the Indian Railways and public enterprises.
Recommendation Sent to Appointments Committee of the Cabinet
Following his selection, the PESB has recommended Sharma’s name to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). His appointment is now subject to mandatory vigilance clearances and final approval from the ACC. Upon confirmation, he will officially take over the post of Director (Catering Services) at IRCTC.
The Director (Catering Services) plays a crucial role in overseeing one of IRCTC’s core verticals—ensuring the quality, hygiene, and efficiency of catering operations across the vast Indian Railways network.
