Talcher (Odisha): Mahanadi Coalfields Limited has partnered with the District Administration of Angul to launch an advanced Edge-AI Enabled Unified Command and Control Surveillance System aimed at strengthening coal logistics security and improving smart traffic management in the Talcher sub-division.
The initiative marks a major step toward digital transformation in coal transportation monitoring through artificial intelligence-driven infrastructure.
AI-Powered Surveillance System for Real-Time Monitoring
Under the agreement, the new system will integrate AI-enabled CCTV cameras with ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and FRS (Facial Recognition System) technologies. These will be linked with district police infrastructure for seamless monitoring.
The system is designed to enable real-time surveillance, faster decision-making, and improved coordination between law enforcement and administrative agencies.
