New Delhi: The Government of India has approved the entrustment of additional charge of the post of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), Mangaluru, to Ms. Meenaxi Rawat, IES (1993).
The appointment has been made through an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on January 16, 2026.
DoPT Order and Tenure Details
According to the DoPT order, Ms. Rawat, who is currently serving as Chief Vigilance Officer of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Mumbai, will hold the additional charge of CVO, MRPL, for a period of six months with effect from December 12, 2025.
The arrangement will remain valid until a regular CVO is appointed at MRPL or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The decision was taken following a proposal received from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and has been approved by the Competent Authority.

Role in Strengthening Vigilance Oversight
As CVO, Ms. Rawat will oversee vigilance administration at MRPL, ensuring transparency, integrity, and adherence to preventive vigilance measures. The vigilance function in MRPL operates under the overall supervision of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), in line with government guidelines for public sector undertakings.
Ms. Rawat is a senior officer of the Indian Economic Service with extensive experience in vigilance and administrative matters in the petroleum sector.
