Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Reviews Moong Procurement, Orders Strict Action Against Irregularities

Around 3.5 lakh metric tonnes of moong procured so far; CM directs officials to blacklist those found guilty of irregularities.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reviewed the ongoing moong procurement process in the state and directed officials to take strict action against anyone found involved in irregularities.

During a review meeting held at the Mantralaya in Bhopal, officials informed the Chief Minister that around 3.5 lakh metric tonnes of moong have already been procured across Madhya Pradesh.

CM Mohan Yadav stressed that there should be no irregularities in the procurement process and directed officials to ensure transparency and strict compliance with procurement norms.

CM Mohan Yadav Orders Strict Action Against Those Involved in Irregularities

The Chief Minister directed officials to take strict action against individuals found guilty of irregularities in moong procurement.

He specifically instructed authorities to blacklist persons proven guilty of wrongdoing and initiate strict action against them.

CM Mohan Yadav emphasised that the procurement process should remain transparent and that farmers should not face difficulties because of irregularities or malpractice.

3.5 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Moong Procured So Far

Officials informed the meeting that approximately 3.5 lakh metric tonnes of moong have been procured in Madhya Pradesh so far.

The state has received a procurement target of 4.54 lakh metric tonnes from the Government of India.

Procurement is currently underway to achieve the target.

3.47 Lakh Farmers Registered for Procurement

According to officials, 3.47 lakh farmers registered themselves for moong procurement in Madhya Pradesh.

Out of the registered farmers, verification of approximately 3.42 lakh farmers has been completed.

The government is continuing the procurement process while monitoring the participation and verification of farmers.

CM Directs Officials to Ensure Transparent Procurement

CM Mohan Yadav directed the concerned officials to closely monitor the procurement process and ensure that no malpractice takes place.

The Chief Minister’s key direction was to:

  • Maintain transparency throughout the procurement process.
  • Take strict action against those involved in irregularities.
  • Blacklist individuals proven guilty of wrongdoing.
  • Ensure that the procurement process is carried out properly for registered farmers.

Agriculture Minister Joins Meeting Virtually

Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Edal Singh Kansana joined the review meeting virtually.

Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal and other senior officials were also present during the meeting.
