Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had a unique interaction with the student cabinet of Kamla Nehru Sandipani Girls Government School during the ‘Kitab Se Kal Tak’ programme held in Bhopal on Tuesday. Impressed by the school’s democratic student leadership system, the Chief Minister invited the student ministers onto the stage, learned about their responsibilities, and encouraged them to become responsible future leaders.
During the event, Dr. Yadav also interacted with students and teachers, spoke about the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), encouraged lifelong learning, and shared valuable lessons on discipline, leadership, stress management, and career planning.
CM Mohan Yadav Appreciates the School’s Student Cabinet
Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed happiness after learning that the school has its own elected student cabinet. He invited the cabinet members to the stage and asked each student to introduce herself and explain her role.
The students informed the Chief Minister that the cabinet consists of positions such as Sports Minister, Cultural Minister, Discipline Minister, Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, and Secretary. They explained that elections are conducted annually through an EVM-based voting system, students campaign just like real elections, and the cabinet prepares a yearly activity calendar. Members who fail to perform their responsibilities can also be removed.
The Chief Minister appreciated the initiative, saying such practical leadership experiences help students understand democracy from an early age.

‘Use AI, But Never Stop Using Your Own Brain’
One of the major highlights of the interaction was a discussion on Artificial Intelligence.
A student asked the Chief Minister whether he uses ChatGPT and what he searches for. Responding to the question, Dr. Mohan Yadav said he uses AI tools to gather the latest information related to topics before public programmes and speeches.
However, he advised students not to rely blindly on AI.
“Whether it is ChatGPT, Grok, or any other AI tool, none of them provides the final answer. Use AI, but always apply your own mind and cross-check facts and data.”
He encouraged students to treat AI as a learning assistant rather than a replacement for independent thinking.
