Bhopal/Chhindwara: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan from Chhindwara on Thursday, combining a statewide public outreach initiative with strict administrative action. During the grievance hearing, he ordered the immediate suspension of Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Naresh Gunnare, a Tehsildar, and a Patwari after complaints were raised against them.

Before the public interaction, the Chief Minister inspected the Public Service Centre at the Chhindwara Collectorate and reviewed service delivery. He also met entrepreneurs, public representatives and local residents to discuss development priorities, industrial opportunities and governance issues.

Campaign Aims to Strengthen Public Trust

Launching the Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan, Dr. Yadav said the campaign is designed to bring the government closer to the people. Public representatives across the state will directly interact with citizens, gather feedback and address local issues.

He said suggestions received during the campaign would help shape future government policies while ensuring quicker resolution of public grievances and better delivery of welfare schemes.

Every Friday to Be ‘No-Meeting Day’

A key announcement made by the Chief Minister was the introduction of ‘No-Meeting Day’ every Friday across Madhya Pradesh.

Instead of attending office meetings, ministers, MLAs, Collectors, Commissioners and other officials will visit districts and tehsils to hold Janata Darbars, allowing citizens to present their grievances directly before the administration.

According to Dr. Yadav, the campaign is based on four principles:

  • Dialogue
  • Resolution
  • Sensitivity
  • Simplicity

He described it as an effort to make governance more accessible, transparent and people-centric.

Focus on Rural Economy and Employment

The Chief Minister also highlighted the state’s focus on natural farming, animal husbandry and rural tourism to generate sustainable livelihoods.

He said initiatives such as homestays would create new employment opportunities in rural areas while promoting local culture and tourism. Inputs received from citizens during the campaign, he added, would be incorporated into future development plans.

Administrative Accountability at the Centre

The immediate suspension of three officials during the grievance hearing sent a strong message on administrative accountability. The Chief Minister said government departments must respond promptly to public concerns and ensure that citizens receive timely services without unnecessary delays.

Why It Matters

The Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan reflects Madhya Pradesh’s effort to strengthen citizen-centric governance by taking the administration directly to the people. Through regular public hearings, field-level monitoring and greater accountability, the initiative aims to improve service delivery, resolve grievances faster and build public confidence in the administration.
