Bhopal: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 70 officers of the State Administrative Service (SAS) along with five IAS officers, effective immediately. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued the transfer orders late Monday evening, citing administrative grounds for the changes.

The reshuffle includes officials at the Additional District Magistrate, Joint Collector, and Deputy Collector levels, as well as departmental secretaries. The move is part of a broader administrative strategy to streamline governance and accelerate departmental efficiency.

Senior IAS Officers Get Key Roles Post Study Leave

Two senior IAS officers, Manish Singh and GV Rashmi, who were awaiting postings after returning from study leave, have been given prominent responsibilities:

  • Manish Singh has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department. Additionally, he will hold additional charge of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
  • GV Rashmi has been posted as Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department.

Their appointments will relieve the following officials from their current additional charges

  • Manu Shrivastava from the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
  • Vivek Kumar Porwal from the Technical Education Department.
  • Rashmi Arun Shami from the Women and Child Development Department.

Notable Administrative Changes Among SAS Officers

Among the State Administrative Service officers, the reshuffle includes several significant departmental changes

  • Anurag Saxena, previously Managing Director of MP Seed and Farm Development Corporation and Deputy Secretary in the Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Department, has been appointed as Additional Managing Director of the MP State Agricultural Marketing Board.
  • Abhilash Mishra, Additional Commissioner, Indore Municipal Corporation, has now been posted as Commissioner of Ujjain Municipal Corporation.
  • Archana Solanki, Chief General Manager (Administration), MP Rural Road Development Authority, has been transferred as Deputy Secretary, Personnel Department. Notably, Solanki was awarded the IAS while holding this same role earlier.
  • Nimisha Jaiswal, a SAS officer, has also been appointed Deputy Secretary, Personnel.
  • Sandeep Kerketta, currently serving as Deputy Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been given additional charge as Managing Director, MP Seed and Farm Development Corporation.

Transfers Part of Routine Administrative Restructuring

The GAD’s official communication stated that the postings are temporary and subject to further orders. All officers are expected to assume their new roles immediately.

This reshuffle is seen as part of the state’s preparations to bolster administrative machinery in the run-up to key projects and development initiatives. It also reflects the government’s emphasis on placing experienced officers in strategic roles.
