Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Startup Summit 2026 was held in Bhopal today, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts from across the country. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the summit and interacted with startup founders, emphasizing the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in building a robust state and national economy.
Support and Benefits for Startups
During the summit, more than 170 startups received benefits totaling over ₹2.5 crore. In addition, under the Udyam Kranti Yojana, 21 startups were provided bank loans amounting to ₹8.17 crore to support their growth and expansion. Successful and high-potential startup founders were also recognized and honored with state-level Startup Awards, highlighting their achievements and contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Promoting Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Addressing the audience, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav underscored India’s long-standing history of trade and entrepreneurship. He emphasized that startups play a pivotal role in strengthening the economy and noted that India is moving towards becoming the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem. Dr. Yadav encouraged young innovators to leverage their creativity and skills to accelerate economic growth and development.

MOUs and Strategic Collaborations
The summit also witnessed the signing of four long-term Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department and partners including the Federation of India Export Organizations, Central Bank of India, Carvi Startup Labs, and Startup Middle East. These agreements aim to strengthen collaborations, provide investment and mentorship opportunities, and further support startups in Madhya Pradesh.
Highlighting Success Stories
A special booklet featuring successful startups established in Madhya Pradesh was released during the event to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs and showcase the state’s vibrant startup ecosystem. Four startup founders received direct financial assistance from the Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana and the MP Startup Policy & Implementation Plan 2025, including bank loans and investment support to scale their ventures.
