Patna: The National Association of Civil Servants (NACS) Bihar–Jharkhand has announced the launch of its annual Interview Guidance Programme (IGP) for candidates from Bihar and Jharkhand who have qualified the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination (2025). Eligible candidates can now register on the NACS website to receive structured guidance ahead of the prestigious personality test.

This year, NACS has expanded its support system by introducing offline mock interviews in both Delhi and Patna, while continuing its online mode for candidates residing outside these cities.

Registration Opens for IAS Interview Coaching

Candidates belonging to Bihar and Jharkhand who cleared the UPSC Mains Examination—results of which were announced in November—can register for IGP at: www.nacsbiharjharkhand.org.in

NACS has urged aspirants to complete their registration early so that personalised guidance and scheduling for mock interviews can be arranged. Updates will be shared regularly through the NACS Twitter handle @NacsBihar_JH and its official Facebook page.

A Legacy of Support for Civil Service Aspirants

Formed in 2014 by BK Prasad (IAS, 1983 batch) along with several civil servants from Bihar and Jharkhand, NACS aims to foster professional collaboration among officers while contributing to the development of their home states.

To support this mission, NACS has been conducting free Prelims, Mains, and Interview guidance programmes for several years. Last year, out of 58 candidates registered with NACS, over 30 successfully secured final selection into the Civil Services.

Key Highlights of This Year’s Interview Guidance Programme

NACS officials shared details of what aspirants can expect:

1. Completely Free Programme

The IGP is entirely free and conducted voluntarily by serving and retired civil servants.

2. Diverse Panel of Senior and Young Officers

Officers from various services and batches—mixing experience with contemporary insights—participate as mentors and panelists.

3. Dedicated WhatsApp Support Group

All registered candidates are added to a guidance group where senior officers remain available to answer queries anytime.

4. Friendly and Supportive Environment

The initiative is entirely service-oriented, with officers personally committed to guiding youth from Bihar and Jharkhand.

5. Expert-led Thematic Sessions

Special classes will be held on topics such as hobbies, state-specific issues, international affairs, current events, optional subjects, and cadre preferences.

A Strong Officer Network Behind the Initiative

More than 1,000 civil servants are associated with NACS, and this year, over 100 officers have confirmed their participation as panelists.

Prominent senior officers expected to lead the interview panels include:

  • BK Prasad, IAS (1983 batch), Former Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs
  • Arun Kumar, IPS (1985 batch), Former Director General, Railway Protection Force
  • Amita Prasad, IAS (1985 batch), Former Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka
  • Parvez Hayat, IPS (1984 batch), Former Director General, Jharkhand Police

NACS Team Ready for the 2025 Interview Season

According to Santosh Kumar (IAS, 2014 batch) and Coordinator of NACS, preparations for the IGP are complete and registrations are underway.
The programme will be coordinated by Vijay Kumar (IRTS) and Gunjan Mishra (IPTAFS).

NACS officials expressed confidence that this year, even more candidates from Bihar and Jharkhand will clear the UPSC Civil Services Examination with the help of their structured and high-quality guidance programme.
