The Parivartan program, launched during India’s 75th Independence celebrations, has now reached 8,950 participants in 29 states and Union Territories, offering coaching in 10 sports along with necessary equipment. This initiative has achieved international acclaim, with inmates securing Gold and Bronze medals at the FIDE 4th Intercontinental Online Chess Championship and earning the “Chess for Freedom” award from FIDE.
Indian Oil’s efforts have also been recognized with the Sportstar Aces Chairperson Award for promoting sports for social good and the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for Thought Leadership, reinforcing the impact of its programs on marginalized communities.
