New Delhi: Reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare, NBCC (India) Limited flagged off a lifesaving ambulance dedicated to Hanley in Ladakh under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The ambulance was flagged off from the World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi, marking an important step toward strengthening healthcare support in one of the country’s most remote regions.
The flag-off ceremony was led by Dr. K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NBCC, in the presence of Anjeev Kumar Jain, Director (Finance) and Smt. Ritu Pande, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO).
Strengthening Healthcare in Remote High-Altitude Region
The CSR initiative aims to improve access to critical healthcare services in Hanley, a remote and high-altitude region in Ladakh where medical facilities are limited and reaching emergency care can be difficult due to challenging terrain and extreme weather conditions.
With the deployment of the new ambulance, the local population will benefit from faster emergency response and improved access to medical services, which is often a significant challenge in remote Himalayan regions.
The initiative is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring timely medical assistance for residents, particularly during emergencies that require immediate transportation to healthcare facilities.
