New Delhi: State-owned construction major NBCC (India) Limited announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, HSCC (India) Limited, has entered into a Strategic Collaboration Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). The partnership aims to develop a comprehensive healthcare manufacturing and services ecosystem in India, supporting the government’s push for domestic healthcare solutions.
Scope of the Strategic Collaboration
According to a regulatory filing with stock exchanges, the MoU between HSCC and BEL covers a wide spectrum of activities, including:
- Manufacturing and supply of medical devices
- Development of healthcare IT and digital solutions
- Consultancy services and project execution
- Joint procurement initiatives
- Annual maintenance contract (AMC) and warranty support
- Advisory and strategic services
The two public sector enterprises will execute project-specific agreements individually based on the requirements of each project. NBCC clarified that this MoU was signed as part of the normal course of business of its subsidiary, HSCC.
