Mumbai: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has announced a major healthcare initiative in Singrauli under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The company will provide state-of-the-art medical equipment to the District Hospital-cum-Trauma Center in Baidhan, aiming to improve healthcare infrastructure and patient care in the region.
MoU Signed for Healthcare Development
On Tuesday, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NCL’s General Manager (CSR) and the Chief Medical and Health Officer of Singrauli. The signing ceremony was attended by Gaurav Bansal, District Collector of Singrauli.
The CSR project was initially proposed by Rajesh Mishra, Member of Parliament from Sidhi-Singrauli, and forwarded to NCL by the district administration. The agreement ensures the supply of advanced medical devices to support critical medical departments in the district hospital and trauma center.

Key Departments to Benefit
The new medical equipment will be installed in several key departments, including:
- Cardiology
- Surgery and Operation Theatre
- Orthopedics
- Dental Care
- Ophthalmology
- Emergency and Trauma Services
The initiative is expected to enhance the hospital’s ability to treat critically ill patients, improve diagnosis and treatment procedures, and strengthen overall healthcare infrastructure in the district.
Administration Applauds NCL’s CSR Initiative
Speaking at the event, Collector Gaurav Bansal appreciated NCL’s commitment to improving healthcare in the region, stating that the initiative will provide better and more accessible healthcare services for local citizens.
Meanwhile, Rajeev Ranjan, General Manager (CSR) of NCL, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to regional social development through sustainable and impactful CSR projects.
