Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced an airport and a modern, fully equipped stadium for Neemuch, signalling a fresh push to strengthen the district’s connectivity, sports infrastructure and employment opportunities.
Speaking at the ‘Seva Se Sankalp’ campaign felicitation programme at Agrawal Bhawan in Neemuch, the Chief Minister said an airport would be developed in the district soon. He also announced the construction of a modern stadium to expand sports facilities and provide better opportunities for young athletes.
Yadav further said that more than one lakh government recruitments have been completed in Madhya Pradesh during the past two and a half years. Another 3.5 lakh-plus government jobs are planned over the next two and a half years.
Neemuch Airport to Improve Regional Connectivity
The proposed Neemuch airport is expected to strengthen the district’s connectivity with other parts of Madhya Pradesh and the country.
For residents, businesses and visitors, improved air connectivity could make travel more convenient and support wider economic activity. Neemuch’s location and its links with agriculture, trade and tourism make transport infrastructure an important part of the district’s future growth.
The airport announcement also comes alongside the state government’s broader focus on improving road and expressway connectivity. According to the Chief Minister, more than five lakh kilometres of roads have been constructed across Madhya Pradesh over the years, while major cities are being connected through expressways.

Modern Stadium to Create More Opportunities for Youth
The Chief Minister also announced a fully equipped stadium for Neemuch as part of the expansion of sports infrastructure in the district.
The proposed facility is expected to provide better training and sporting opportunities for local youth and athletes. Improved sports infrastructure can help emerging talent access organised facilities closer to home and participate in competitions at higher levels.
The stadium is therefore being positioned not only as a sporting facility but also as an investment in the potential of young people in the district.
Over 3.5 Lakh Government Recruitments Planned
Employment was another major focus of the Chief Minister’s address.
Yadav said Madhya Pradesh has completed more than one lakh government recruitments in the last two and a half years. He announced that the state plans to carry out more than 3.5 lakh additional government recruitments during the next two and a half years.
The proposed recruitment drive could create opportunities for candidates across different government departments and services. It also reflects the state government’s focus on expanding employment opportunities alongside infrastructure and development projects.
Madhya Pradesh’s Budget and Education Spending Rise
Highlighting the state’s development indicators, Yadav said Madhya Pradesh’s education budget has increased from around ₹5,000 crore to ₹38,000 crore.
He said the state’s overall budget has also grown to ₹4.48 lakh crore. According to the Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh’s per-capita income has crossed ₹1.70 lakh, while electricity generation capacity has risen above 32,000 MW.
He also pointed to the expansion of medical education in the state. Madhya Pradesh had around five medical colleges in 2002, while the number has now increased to 33, offering around 8,000 medical seats.
The government has also highlighted the elimination of the dropout rate in primary education as an important achievement.
Cheetah Project Adds Another Development Dimension
Wildlife conservation also featured prominently during the Neemuch programme.
Yadav referred to the release of a female cheetah in the Khimla area of Neemuch under Project Cheetah, describing it as an important achievement for the district.
The development adds another dimension to Neemuch’s growing profile, with wildlife conservation potentially contributing to ecological protection as well as tourism-related opportunities.
Madhya Pradesh has been playing a central role in India’s cheetah conservation programme, with Kuno National Park and Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary emerging as important habitats for the species.
‘Seva Se Sankalp’ Focuses on Public Participation
The Chief Minister also highlighted the ongoing ‘Seva Se Sankalp’ campaign, which is being conducted across Madhya Pradesh from September 17 to October 17.
The campaign includes activities linked to public service, community participation and welfare. Yadav said the initiative aims to strengthen the spirit of service and public involvement in development.
He also referred to the ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ programme held on September 17, describing it as a reflection of India’s cultural heritage and Sanatan traditions.
During the event, individuals who performed notable work under the campaign were presented certificates of recognition. The Chief Minister also appreciated citizens, public representatives, officials, employees and organisations participating in the initiative.
Neemuch’s Development Push Takes Shape
The announcements made in Neemuch bring together three areas with direct relevance to the district’s future — connectivity, youth opportunities and employment.
The proposed airport can strengthen access to the district, while the modern stadium can support sports and local talent. The planned government recruitments could provide employment opportunities to thousands of candidates across the state.
Combined with road connectivity, education, healthcare, energy and wildlife conservation initiatives, these developments form part of Madhya Pradesh’s wider push to expand infrastructure and public services.
