Jammu: A significant step towards enhancing staff infrastructure was taken today as NHPC Regional Office, Jammu, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NBCC (India) Limited for the construction of residential rooms over Block-II and Block-III at its Narwal office premises. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. K.P. Mahadevaswami, CMD of NBCC, and Mr. Ram Swaroop, Executive Director of NHPC Regional Office, Jammu.
Representing NHPC, Mr. Pankaj Vashishth, General Manager (Civil), and on behalf of NBCC, Mr. Mohammad Tariq, General Manager (Engineering), formally signed the MoU. The project, as per the agreement, is scheduled to be completed within 20 months from the commencement date.
Focus on Modern Residential Facilities
The initiative aims to provide modern and well-planned residential accommodation for NHPC employees at the Jammu Regional Office, covering both Block-II and Block-III areas. This project aligns with NHPC’s ongoing efforts to enhance the working and living conditions of its workforce while supporting long-term operational efficiency.
Senior Officials Witness the Ceremony
The MoU signing was attended by senior officials from both NHPC and NBCC, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the two public sector enterprises to ensure timely execution and quality standards.
