New Delhi – Shri Niraj Kumar, an accomplished Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer of the 2001 batch, has taken charge as Group General Manager (Procurement & Services) at Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). He assumed office on July 9, 2025 (forenoon), on deputation for a period of three years.
With over 22 years of distinguished service in Indian Railways, Shri Kumar brings extensive technical and administrative experience to his new role at CONCOR. Prior to this appointment, he served as Executive Director (Bridge & Structure) at the Railway Board.
Other Key Roles & Accomplishments
His previous roles also include key engineering and operational assignments such as Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) in Moradabad Division, Deputy Chief Engineer on the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project, and Senior Divisional Engineer-II in Firozpur Division.
Shri Niraj Kumar’s diverse experience in bridge design, structural works, and strategic project management is expected to enhance CONCOR’s procurement and infrastructure capabilities in line with its expansion plans.
