NLC India Gets IND AAA/Stable Rating on ₹1,102 Crore Loans, ₹12,525 Crore Debt Reviewed 

India Ratings also affirms AAA/Stable on ₹2,500 crore NCDs and A1+ rating on ₹6,000 crore Commercial Paper programme.

New Delhi: NLC India Limited has received a credit-rating review from India Ratings & Research Private Limited covering its disclosed bank loan facilities and debt instruments worth a combined ₹12,525 crore.

The latest rating action includes the assignment and affirmation of strong credit ratings across the company’s bank loans, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) and commercial paper programme.

The ratings were disclosed by NLC India in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

₹1,102 Crore Bank Loans Assigned IND AAA/Stable

India Ratings has assigned an ‘IND AAA/Stable’ rating to NLC India’s bank loan facilities amounting to ₹1,102 crore.

An ‘IND AAA’ rating represents the highest degree of creditworthiness under India Ratings’ domestic rating scale, while the ‘Stable’ outlook indicates that the rating is not expected to change significantly in the near term.

₹2,500 Crore NCDs Retain IND AAA/Stable Rating

The rating agency has also affirmed the ‘IND AAA/Stable’ rating on NLC India’s ₹2,500 crore non-convertible debentures (NCDs).

The affirmation indicates that the existing strong credit rating on the company’s NCDs has been maintained following the latest review.

₹6,000 Crore Commercial Paper Programme Rated IND A1+

NLC India’s ₹6,000 crore Commercial Paper (CP) programme has retained its ‘IND A1+’ rating.

The ‘IND A1+’ rating is the highest short-term credit rating on India Ratings’ domestic scale, reflecting strong capacity to meet short-term financial obligations.

₹2,923 Crore Bank Loan Facility Also Affirmed

India Ratings has further affirmed the rating on another set of NLC India’s bank loan facilities amounting to ₹2,923 crore.

These facilities carry ratings of ‘IND AAA/Stable’ and ‘IND A1+’, according to the company’s disclosure.

The rating actions cover a significant portion of NLC India’s disclosed debt obligations and reflect the rating agency’s assessment of the company’s credit profile and financial stability.

The key rating actions announced by India Ratings are:

  • ₹1,102 crore bank loan facilities: IND AAA/Stable — Assigned
  • ₹2,500 crore non-convertible debentures: IND AAA/Stable — Affirmed
  • ₹6,000 crore Commercial Paper programme: IND A1+ — Affirmed
  • ₹2,923 crore bank loan facilities: IND AAA/Stable / IND A1+ — Affirmed

Overall, the rating review highlights the strong credit standing of NLC India’s major debt instruments and financing facilities.
