Part of SJVN’s 600 MW Wind Power Programme

The 200 MW wind power project forms part of SJVN’s larger 600 MW ISTS-connected Wind Power Projects under the Wind-2 Tranche. The project was awarded through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, ensuring cost-effective and transparent procurement of renewable energy.

Once commissioned, the project is expected to generate around 500 million units of green electricity annually. This will significantly contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting sustainable power generation for the country.

Boost to Clean Energy and Energy Security

The signing of the PPA reflects strong cooperation between two leading Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). It underscores their shared commitment to accelerating the deployment of renewable energy, supporting India’s clean energy ambitions, and strengthening long-term energy security.

The project is also expected to play a role in meeting India’s renewable energy targets while promoting environmentally responsible growth through increased adoption of wind power.
