State-run power utility NTPC Limited has announced the appointment of Sushil Chaudhari as a Non-official Independent Director on its Board. The appointment was made by the President of India, as per a communication issued by the Ministry of Power dated May 15, 2025.Chaudhari will serve a three-year term from the date of the notification of the appointment order or until further orders, whichever is earlier.In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Friday, the Maharatna PSU said it is in the process of completing the statutory formalities related to the appointment.The addition of Chaudhari to the NTPC Board is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the governance framework and strategic oversight of India’s largest power generation company.
