NTPC Bongaigaon Observes Quality Month with Pledge Ceremonies to Promote Excellence and Innovation

New Delhi: NTPC Bongaigaon marked Quality Month with the organisation of Quality Pledge ceremonies at the New Administrative Building and the New Service Building, reaffirming its commitment to embedding excellence, precision, and continuous improvement in every aspect of its operations. The observance highlights the station’s focus on strengthening quality-driven processes and fostering a unified culture of accountability.

Quality Pledge Administered at Administrative Building

At the New Administrative Building, Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, led the Quality Pledge. Addressing employees, he emphasised that quality is not a one-time goal but an ongoing organisational discipline. He highlighted the critical role of quality in achieving operational efficiency, delivering reliable services, and maintaining trust among stakeholders, partners, and the community. Maitra urged employees to adopt a proactive approach to quality—ensuring that excellence is reflected in day-to-day tasks and long-term project execution.

Simultaneous Pledge Ceremony at Plant Building

At the New Service Building, Anurag Gupta, GM (O&M), administered the pledge in the presence of Ahmed Mustafa Choudhury, AGM (C&I), along with departmental representatives. Gupta stressed the importance of rigorous quality checks, strict adherence to operational protocols, and collective responsibility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power generation. He reiterated that maintaining high-quality standards is fundamental to NTPC’s role as a leading power producer committed to national energy security.

Activities Planned to Promote Innovation and Systemic Improvements

To mark Quality Month, NTPC Bongaigaon has planned a series of employee engagement activities, competitions, and awareness programmes designed to promote innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving. These activities aim to motivate employees to propose improvements, strengthen systems, eliminate inefficiencies, and reinforce NTPC’s values of integrity, reliability, and operational excellence.
