New Delhi/Kokrajhar: NTPC Bongaigaon has taken a significant step toward enhancing public healthcare and community well-being in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) by signing two key Memorandums of Agreement (MoAs) with the District Administration, Kokrajhar, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Burn ICU at Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital

The first MoA, a tripartite agreement among NTPC, the District Administration, and Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital (KMCH), focuses on the construction of a modern 6-bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the Burn Unit at KMCH. With a project cost of ₹1.47 crore, the facility will feature advanced life-support systems, infection-control measures, specialized medical equipment, HVAC and oxygen pipeline systems, and state-of-the-art patient monitoring infrastructure.

The Burn ICU is expected to significantly enhance KMCH’s capacity to treat critical burn cases and provide tertiary care for patients across BTR and neighboring districts. The project is slated for completion within 12 months.
