NTPC REL Begins Partial Commercial Operations of 200 MW Solar Project in Gujarat

NTPC, the state-owned power giant, announced that its subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has commenced partial commercial operations of a 200 MW solar project in Gujarat.

As of January 17, 2025, 25 MW out of the total 200 MW capacity has been commissioned at the Gujarat Solar PV Project located in Sadla, Gujarat. NTPC REL is a key arm of NTPC, focused on renewable energy projects.

NTPC Limited is a state-owned power generation company and India’s largest energy producer, primarily involved in the generation of electricity through thermal, hydro, and renewable energy sources. It is headquartered in New Delhi and operates a vast network of power plants across the country.
