New Delhi: NTPC Limited, India’s largest power generation company and a Maharatna PSU, has been recognised as a Top Employer in India for 2026 by the Top Employers Institute, marking the fourth consecutive year the company has received this prestigious certification. The recognition highlights NTPC’s commitment to creating a high-performing, people-centric workplace through progressive HR practices and data-driven strategies.

The Top Employers Institute, a global authority in HR certification operating across 131 countries, evaluates organisations through its comprehensive HR Best Practices Survey. The survey assesses six key HR domains across 20 topics, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, and Employee Wellbeing.

NTPC successfully completed the survey, validation, and audit process under the Institute’s certification programme, earning the Top Employer 2026 status. The recognition underscores NTPC’s philosophy of “People before PLF (Plant Load Factor)”, prioritising employee engagement, wellbeing, and professional growth alongside organisational performance.

Its long-term roadmap involves planned capital expenditure of around ₹7 lakh crore across renewable energy, energy storage systems, pumped storage projects, nuclear power, green hydrogen, and chemicals. With a diversified portfolio spanning thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power, NTPC continues to focus on supplying reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity, while advancing India’s clean energy transition goals.
