Raebareli: In a significant step towards promoting girls’ education and empowerment, NTPC Unchahar organized a bicycle distribution program for rural school-going girls under its flagship Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2025. The initiative, held as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, aims to eliminate mobility challenges faced by young girls and provide them with the freedom to pursue academic and career aspirations.
Empowering Girls, One Bicycle at a Time
Transportation continues to be a major hurdle for schoolgirls in many rural areas, often impacting attendance and learning outcomes. With the distribution of bicycles, NTPC Unchahar is directly addressing this challenge—ensuring girls can travel to school and coaching classes with greater ease, safety, and independence.
More than a mode of transport, the bicycles symbolize freedom, opportunity, and inclusion—key ingredients for true empowerment.
