New Delhi: NTPC Vindhyachal has received two major recognitions at the 27th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2026, organised by the CII Energy Efficiency Council, highlighting its continued focus on energy efficiency and energy management practices.
The power station won the “Excellent Energy Efficient Unit” Award for the fourth consecutive year and the “National Energy Leader” Award for the second consecutive year.
The awards recognise NTPC Vindhyachal’s sustained efforts to improve energy efficiency and strengthen energy management practices at the power station.
NTPC Vindhyachal Secures Two Major Energy Awards
NTPC Vindhyachal competed in a common category that included thermal power plants operated by public sector undertakings, independent power producers and state generators.
The consecutive awards reflect the station’s continued participation in energy efficiency initiatives and its performance in energy management among thermal power plants.

NTPC Officials Receive Awards on Behalf of Vindhyachal
Kiran Kumar Bantu, AGM (Operation), and Ram Sewak Jayswal, DGM (EEMG), represented NTPC Vindhyachal at the event and received the awards on behalf of the power station.
The consecutive recognitions underline Vindhyachal’s continued focus on energy efficiency and its performance in energy management within the thermal power generation sector.
